I could never find a definitive list of sheriffs of Culberson County. I knew the 7th and 8th sheriffs personally, and knew the 6th sheriff's widow. I was able to find people who remembered the 5th sheriff, but very little seemed to be known about the first 4. In 1996 I was able to get the following information by researching the elections registers in the Culberson County Clerk's office, thanks to our County Clerk, Linda McDonald. Thanks to Mr. Gary Mosely, a descendant our first sheriff, for correcting the spelling of sheriff Feeley's surname and supplying the names for the initials which were all I could find from county records.
